The Self Love Program (I ♡ i):

The Self Love Program (I ♡ i):

This year, for Valentine’s Day, I am inviting you to redirect some of the love you so easily give to others back toward yourself. Instead of focusing outward, this is a chance to turn inward—to offer yourself the same warmth, compassion, and care, you so generously extend to the people around you.

Those who identify as being neurodivergent often carry an inordinate amount of shame, particularly adults diagnosed later in life. Many grew up hearing messages like “hurry up,” “try harder,” or “keep up,” and over time these expectations created hidden pockets of self‑doubt and self‑criticism. The antidote to this kind of shame is acceptance and love—knowing that you are supported, understood, and safe to be exactly who you are.

The purpose of this program is to help illuminate the places where shame quietly takes root so we can gently shine light on the areas that most need compassion and self‑love. This is also why the program is called I Love I: it can be understood as I love mini‑me, I love myself, or I love my inner child. Each version captures a different way of returning to and reconnecting with the parts of ourselves that were overlooked, misunderstood, or pushed too hard.

By examining how neurodivergence influences the flow of healthy energy throughout the body, we can begin to see more clearly where our inner child is asking for support or healing. To guide this process, the program offers affirmations and practical, constructive tools to help soften shame‑based wounds and nurture a deeper sense of inner safety, compassion, and self‑acceptance.

My interest in understanding energy as it relates to the body and overall health began nearly 30 years ago, when my oldest daughter was still a baby and I saw Carolyn Myss on The Oprah Show. As a medical intuitive, she spoke about her ability to sense illness in individuals—even before a medical diagnosis had been made.

I later bought her book, Anatomy of the Spirit, but at the time I struggled to fully absorb the concepts. Some of my own belief systems made it difficult to accept what she was presenting, and I wasn’t yet ready to take in ideas that felt so different from the way I understood the world.

Over the years, though, I continued to explore more information about chakras—what Joe Dispenza refers to as our energy centers—and slowly became curious about viewing neurodiversity through this same lens. That curiosity eventually led me to design this program.

This framework supports neurodivergent adults (and their allies) through 12 structured sessions where we explore each of the seven energy centers and how they relate to the strengths, challenges, and lived experiences of being NeuroSensitive.

You don’t need to embrace spirituality to participate in this program; the energy‑center model is simply a lens—a grounded, accessible structure—that helps guide our discussions in a meaningful and approachable way.

In this program, we will discuss all 7 Chakras, but will spend extra time on those that are particularly relevant to ADHD—including the Solar Plexus, which relates to impulsivity, self‑control, and feeling over‑controlled by others; the Throat chakra, which connects to communication and verbal interruption; the Third Eye, associated with nonconformity and intuitive insight; and the Crown, which supports leadership and co‑creation. Together, these centers help us explore patterns, strengths, and challenges, and provide a way to benchmark where you currently feel strong and where you may want to integrate more support to find better balance.

By exploring how neurodivergence influences the flow of healthy energy throughout our system, we can better identify where our inner child needs support. Along the way, the program offers affirmations and practical guidance to help gently love your inner child with the intention to heal shame‑based wounds.
